Bike Tour #1: Vaison - Faucon - Mollans - Vaison

The round trip ride from Vaison-la-Romaine, to Faucon, Mollans-sur-Ouveze,
and back is a 2-3 hour trip (including stops), with one moderate hill before reaching Faucon. Take a break in Faucon, and wander around the charming hamlet with "to-die for" views. Then Stop at the Cafe-bar du Pont in the middle of Mollans-sur-Ouvèze next to the bridge over the Ouvèze river and have a beer or a café.

     · Starting at Place Monfort in the center of Vaison, follow the avenue Victor Hugo uphill until you reach the Roundabout.
     · Turn right on D938, to Malaucene and Carpentras. Proceed about one km and then turn left, direction Saint-Marcellin-les-Vaison. Ride uphill for about 700m and then turn right into D205
     · At about 3km turn left, direction Faucon. This is the only long uphill on the ride, and can be negotiated by walking some sections of it
     · In the tiny hamlet of Faucon, check the houses and bucolic, picture perfect views; stop at "Le Laurier" for an unfussy, yet delicious Provencal meal

      · Leaving Faucon, turn right on D46/D4 and take the long downhill towards Mollans sur Ouvèze.
     · Stop in the center of town on the terrace of the Café du Pont.
     · Then cross D13 and proceed on a very narrow road towards Vaison. The road sort of follows the Ouvèze river, but check the map for general direction.
